The Chardonnay is a light bodied, crisp and refreshing, a little reminiscent of a Chablis, but with a California flair. Since this wine did not go through malolactic fermentation it allows the fruit components to play a larger role. A small amount of French oak adds an interesting complexity to the wine giving it extra depth without being overpowering. The first thing you may notice is an enticing pear aroma followed by hints of vanilla and honey. Green apple, citrus and nutty flavors linger and lend themselves to a crisp, but smooth finish.
